Services We Offer

Research

Zoning/Project inquiries are made prior to the permit application so that the feasibility of a project is known before investing money and time into a project that will not be approved; Design Standards that a project will have to adhere to will also be determined.
Construction Permits

Residential and commercial – it could be the exact same building but the requirements are quite different.
Minor Variance Applications

These are required when the building you want falls a little outside of what is allowed by the by-laws.
Design

OCRG provides clients with shop drawings, sealed or unsealed, to full permit drawing sets as well as OBC Building Matrices needed for Commercial permit applications.
Engineering

We work with professional engineers to get the sealed documents which are needed as well as coordinating a Commitment to General Review when required.
Load Calculations

With the increase in Planning and Building Departments requirements for the math being shown supporting material and components used on a project, load calculations are provided.
Surveys & Site Plans

We provide CAD drawn site plans, Survey Sketches, and full Surveys.

Who we are

OCRG is a company built on years of multi-generational experience. Our roots are to be found in the hands-on experience and learning gained from working as carpenters and builders. Over the years, and with the completion of many projects, we have formed valuable relationships with designers, engineers, planning & building departments and conservation authorities.

OCRG has the knowledge and resources to move you from the concept of a construction project that you want, to getting the permit needed to build it. Every project must accommodate the Ontario Building Code, municipal by-laws and possibly even the regulations from a region or conservation authority.
